Business forms/documents to offset Accts. Receivable to Accts. Payable?
Example : Apple has an outstanding balance amounting to $ 5000 for the supplies purchased to Orange . On the other hand, Orange borrowed money to Apple when unexpected problem arised on his business. What is the business forms/documents to be used by Orange to off-set receivables from Apple?
The amount Apple owes Orange is a trade balance. The loan Orange owes Apple is a non-trade balance. You are not allowed to offset the 2 balances unless there’s an agreement from the parties that allows you to set them off, i.e. a right of set-off must exist first.
