Wedding / Engagement – Keepsake, Journal, Scrapbook?

I am engaged and I am looking for a way to record this special time in my life. I am looking for more of a journal than a guidebook (no suggestions needed here). I live in a small town and not able to go to a book store to make a choice. And, the selection online is overwhelming!
In short, I am looking for a keepsake that I can write what I am doing day to day, a spot to place business cards, a calendar, and something where I can add pages. I know – typical bride – wants it all!

One of my many hobbies is photography, and I keep records of everything that I think was particularly life-changing or sweet. I’ve been making a scrapbook that goes all the way through the relationship I have with my fiance- I stole the pictures I had of him from my photo album for friends, and I stuck those on the first few pages. I have printouts of the screen shots from the facebook messages that lead to our first date- the first of which was very awkward on my part (in a funny way). I have pictures from our first date, and our second. I have the note he left in my notebook when I accidentally left a couple of my school materials at his house. I have the pictures I took of us while he was trying to convince me that the pandas on that one TV commercial didn’t exist just because he and his mother weren’t looking at the time. I have the hand-written letter he taped to the first Christmas gift he ever got me. I have the picture he took of himself after a major breakdown, handing me back the camera and telling me that I now had visual proof from him that I keep him going when things get rough. I have pictures from family gatherings he came to, and of the exact moment he got on his knee and proposed (as he’d told my cousin to take my camera off my night stand, come to this location, and snap it from behind this bush– yeah, my man plans) Basically, I have our entire progression from acquaintances to friends to a couple– along with all of the sweet little details, and the journey we’ve had so far as a couple– all within the covers of that scrapbook. Pictures from our wedding and thereafter will be added, and every time I look at it I’ll remember all of the many reasons I want to stay with him. Forever.

It’s always a WONDERFUL to have something like that. It feeds your creative side, makes you happy, and occasionally causes you to cry.
