Cool Pepper Disc’s debut label release “The Impressions 50th Anniversary Salute to Curtis Mayfield”, contains a multitude of tracks inspired from, and written in the midst of the civil rights movement. Mayfield and The Impressions were among the most influential champions of the civil rights cause, and this album serves as a sincere reminder of that fact, and that time period.
