Home Theater System Reviews; The Onkyo HT-S5300
The Onkyo HT-S5300 Receiver is quite a competent packaged home theater system which is right now available at a selling price you may anticipate paying for an individual mid-range receiver. I feel it will be good to mention the $320 selling price at the beginning, so you would realize that ultimately anything other than analog stereo technology can be deemed a slight miracle. Being a home theater system, this product naturally features a 5.1 channel receiver/speaker set and is able to accomodate Blu-ray, DVD, broadcast, and gaming.

Being an entry-level home theater system, Onkyo’s HT-S3200 isn’t going to provide several of the new technology you may be hoping for, but considering the home theater’s price level, it includes more features than you will be paying for.
Connectivity is an important feature in any home theater system, and though the HT-S3200 might not present anything remarkable, it has the fundamentals dealt with. The three HDMI inputs accommodate the usual spectrum of high-definition sources. The inputs don’t happen to be 3D capable and the system delivers no video upscaling, though the 1080p capable ports will readily work with almost every high definition video format out there at present. The receiver also comes with a front-panel input which is ready to be connected with a separately acquired iPod dock.
When the signals are received by, the Onkyo HT S5300 Receiver will effectively decode any Dolby audio mode, and the HT-S3200′s collection of Audyssey functions will calibrate, balance and then sustain the ideal sound levels from each speaker. Customers experienced with Onkyo products will not be surprised to find out that we have heard several complaints concerning the remote.
Naturally, what a lot of folks find refreshingly simplified, others could find cumbersome and inadequate. Considering, however, that this is a fairly regular criticism with Onkyo products, we may as well award them credit for being predictable. The HT-S3200 home theater system comes with five speakers which are powered by a very capable receiver, yet is even able to service a B speaker system, a pair of speakers that may be positioned outside of the main listening room – convenient for playing music at a party.
The bottom line concerning the Onkyo HT-S5300 Receiver is that it is a good use for every greenback you may spend for it, and a bit more. A tangent from that line is that if you are no longer capable of being appreciative of entry level AV products, one could devote slightly more money and obtain lots more features.
