Home Theater Projectors Buying Tips
A complete cinematic experience is very important to home theater enthusiasts.
There are those who even take their viewing experience to new heights with the use of home theater projectors, and this is especially beneficial to those who are fond of Sports programs and DVD movies.
Xaviera Arata Editor of the Best Home Theater Systems website — http://www.BestHomeTheaterSystem.me — pointed out;
“…Buying a home theater projector however isn’t always recommended, especially to those with limited space for their home theater room. Otherwise, a projector will be able to provide a cinematic experience close to that of the big screen…” Added Xaviera Arata
Things to remember before your purchase
There are a number of video projectors on the market, but there are three major classifications namely the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT), the Digital Light Processing (DLP), and the Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). There are also various models under each type, and each has its own unique features.
The first type, the Cathode Ray Tube is more practical because of its long projection life. Compared to the other two, the CRT may last for 20,000 hours while the light source of its counterparts may only last for 1,000 to 2,000 hours. On the other hand, the LCD is practical because it is compact while the DLP is actually not limited to home theaters and is sometimes used for movies as well.
Regardless of the type of home theater projector you choose, be sure to brush up on the facts and product specs of home theater projectors such as the ones below:
1. Look for projectors with at least 1,000 ANSI Lumens for just the right brightness. The size of the room of your home theater will determine the amount of brightness needed from your projector.
2. For great contrast on colors of your video/movie, make sure your projector has a contrast ratio of at least 1,500:1. Meanwhile, a contrast ratio of 2,000:1 or higher will provide you the best quality for color contrast.
3. Pixel density should also be checked, and high native pixel count will be most beneficial.
4. Take into account the size of the projector and if it is portable enough for your needs. Also, match it with the right size screen that best works with the type and size of your projector.
Choosing the right home theater projection is all about the combination of a number of qualities and key characteristics essential in producing high-quality type of videos.
“…Don’t just rely on what is said about the product, test it and take advantage of free trials available. Lastly, make sure you ask the sales representative there about the projector(s) you intend to purchase and compare your options…” Added Xaviera Arata
