Which Speakers should I buy?

I am getting a 7.1 receiver but,
The Onkyo speakers just seem too bulky and the reviews say that they don’t sound good.
The Polk Speakers are only 5.1 and $20 more but the reviews say that they sound great.
I would rather my speakers sound great.
I am using them for gaming, a little music, and non-action T.V. (Discovery Channel)
