I am trying to set up a home theatre. Is it OK to ceiling-mount my center speaker?
If you do this you should angle it toward the place where you sit to watch movies. I have heard systems with this done though, and I did not like the result. You lose the sense of realism when the person on the screen moves their lips and their voice comes from the ceiling. Ceiling-mounted center channel speakers defeat the main purpose of the center channel which is to nail down the dialog to the TV screen.
