Unable to hook up cable through jWin JD-VD609 home theater system?
I just bought a jWin JD-VD609 home theater system. It has a DVD receiver. I want to run my digital cable box and the this unit, however, I don’t know how to hook it up. The DVD player works fine through the speakers, but I am unable to adjust the volume when watching cable. I need hook up help for this particular system.
I would like to help you, but jWin doesn’t even have the manual for this product on their website. If it is similar to the JD-VD509, then it doesn’t even switch video or audio, and your cable can’t be connected.
The fact that you hear sound while watching cables means it has some sort of aux. audio input. In general, pre-amps have 2 inputs: fixed volume and variable. You might have plugged into the wrong one. I assume you plugged the video from your cablebox straight to the TV.
If I were you I’d return this product. Even if budget was the concern you are better off listening in stereo until you can afford something better. You get what you pay for.
