Installing a powered subwoofer?

I want to install a single powered subwoofer in my car (maybe a bazooka tube). i have sony xplod speakers (50 watt rms) but i still have the factory head unit. what are some good powered subs and will i need a new head unit?

you don’t need a new radio just a line out converter that’s connects to your speaker wires to give you a set of RCA outputs and it only cost about 20 bucks from best buy or radio shack. as far as powered sub go here is a link http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Group/ProductMenu.aspx?g=51000&tp=114 i would personally advise you to go with a sub in a box with a seperate amp for best results and cost effectiveness, hope i helped, good luck
