Home theater setup with HDMI?
I am setting up my home theater and I have run into a snag. I have a AVR146 reciever, Samsung DLP HDTV, Motorola cable box, and Polk surround sound speakers.
Currently, I have cable line from the wall into the HD Cable box, HDMI from cable box to reciever, HDMI from receiver to HDTV, and speakers hooked up to receiver.
Powered everything on and picture is great but sound only comes through the TV speaker. I tried all setting on the reciever but nothing gets sound out of the Polk speakers. All connections are fine.
I could run an audio line (component?) from the TV to the receiver but not sure this is the best idea. Alternatively, there is another AV connection on the cable box (red, red, white, yellow, blue, green).
What am I missing?
Any suggestions are welcomed!

The AVR146 does not process Audio connections, you will have to use the digital connections out of the cable box to get audio
